Going Buff on the Beach for National Nude Day

At one time or another, everyone?s wondered what it would be like to have sex on the beach. While nude beaches aren?t close to the same thing, you still get to enjoy the thrill of the sun on your naked body and getting sand in places best left unmentioned. And there?s no better time to visit a nude beach than National Nude Day, July 14.

Please note that not only is National Nude Day a real event, but it?s also taken extremely seriously by the nudist community. Contrary to popular perception, nudism isn?t an excuse for swinging sex orgies or sex in public. It?s all about celebrating the beauty of the human form in a natural and more pure environment. Sexual activity is frowned upon at most nude beaches, so don?t expect to get lucky.

In preparation for your National Nude Day celebration, we?ve assembled a list of guidelines for first time nudists ? because if you commit a faux pas while going au natural there?s no way at all to hide your blush.

Pack sunscreen, lots and lots of sunscreen. If you think getting your arms or legs sunburned is painful, just imagine how bad one would feel below the belt. And if you?re not a practicing nudist, your pasty white regions will start burning far faster than you?re used to.

Leave your camera at home. There?s nothing wrong with wanting to take pictures of your fabulous vacation so you can remember what it was like to be warm and happy when you dig your car out from 2 feet of snow so you can drive to work this winter. No, the real problem is the other nude people on the beach who are afraid that you?re taking pictures of them for your late-night enjoyment and to post all over the Internet.

In a similar vein, it?s important that you don?t get caught staring at other nudists, no matter how attractive they are. A casual glance or two is one thing ? especially if you?re wearing sunglasses ? but do your best not to drool.

Maintain a respectful distance. Scooping out the hottest person on the nude beach and dropping your towel next to them is not acceptable conduct. You should keep a fair amount of personal space between you and the other nudists, at least 10 feet if space allows.

Keep your bathing suit handy. It?s one thing to be nude in a group of people, but it?s an entirely different situation if you wake up and find everyone else has left for the day.

Be prepared to hide. Erections are not cool on the nude beach. So if you happen to get one, you?ll need to be prepared to hide. If you?re near the water, then dive in. It?s like a cold shower almost complete with shrinkage. If you?re just on the beach, then you?ll have to roll over on your stomach and think un-sexy thoughts until it goes away.
