Name: Ivan M.
Position: Web Metrics Analyst
Department: Internet Marketing

• How long have been with PHE?

Just over 3,400 days

• What would you like our customers to know about you and your job?

As we move toward a more web-centric world and more people shop online, the analyst's role is to provide members of the internet marketing team with useful information about how customers interact with our site and purchase in order to improve the customer experience as well as overall sales. Customers come to our site in a variety of ways such as TV ads, Radio Ads, Search engines, catalog mailings, web offers, emails and affiliate programs. These channels have gone through an amazing progression over the last few years and continue to evolve as time goes on.

• What is the best thing about working for PHE?

I like to report monthly sales figures in the last week of every month. Our team sets monthly goals and sometimes we struggle all month to hit the numbers but find ourselves making the goal in the very last day of the last week. The expression on everyone's face is great.

• What is the most interesting part of your job?

Much of my job involves interpretation of numbers and communicating those interpretations to the rest of the team and company. Sometimes we agree on the interpretations and sometimes we don't. I've found that graphic interpretations seem to work the best. Charts and graphs seem to be well understood compared to a bunch of #'s. One of the trickiest things to explain? Trying to interpret and explain to team members the meaning of a 53 fiscal week year. I thought a year only had 52 weeks? Well, according to PHE.....NOT!

• What is one of your favorite job experiences during your employment at PHE?

Working on a project with one of our outstanding visual artists on a designing a condom packaging for vending machines. We created the package design as well as the machines sticker label for selling the condoms. I learned a lot from the artist about visual design and marketing. I am proud to work for a company that promotes safe sex.
