Ask Laura & Larry for April
Dear Laura and Larry,
I have read numerous tips about eating lots of fruit, specifically which kinds, to improve the taste of one's "juices." My question (which is never covered) is: when to begin? The day of, the day before, the week before... You get the picture. --Taste Sensation
Laura's Response:
Dear Taste Sensation,
I'm not a health professional, but I imagine that because of how the body's metabolism works, you won't see any kind of "instant" effect on the taste of your love juices. You'll probably need to wait at least a day to get any kind of noticeable effect. You'll have better results if you make dietary changes that incorporate more of these foods into your diet on a regular basis. Also, remember that every body is different and will react differently to fruits--you may not get the results you want. Two things that are proven to sweeten the flavor of your juices (for men or women) are not smoking, and reducing or eliminating red meat from your diet. There's also Semenex, which works in 24 hours to sweeten the taste of semen. In the end, remember this: your juices are natural bodily fluids, not food or candy. It can be nice to sweeten them up, but there are limits to what they will taste like!
Larry's Response:
Dear Taste Sensation,
Kudos for finding a partner who doesn't mind swallowing! You've found a rare gem my friend, and I hope you truly appreciate them. I have been with the occasional swallower in the past, but I've never found a partner willing to play taste-test with me so I don't have any personal experience. But it's lucky for you that I spend ridiculous amounts of time watching adult movies. They've taught me a whole world of things - from the importance of never getting a discount boob job to always cleaning up thoroughly before anal sex. I was watching a behind the scenes vignette just last week and learned that it takes about 3 to 4 days for the fruit juice to work. This was straight from the lips of a well-known adult star, and I'll gladly bow to the pros on this topic.
P.S. Pineapple juice is the way to go.
Dear Laura and Larry,
I love to get frisky in a bathtub! Sadly, my new apartment only has a shower stall. What can I do to liven it up? --Hot and Wet
Laura's Response:
Dear Hot and Wet,
Although a bathtub gives you more room for playing around, you can get quite creative within the confines of a shower stall! If you're showering alone, grab your favorite waterproof vibrators, or get a Wall Banger G-Spot vibe, which is meant to go in showers! For even more thrills, check out our Wallbangers Waterproof Clit vibrator. If you're showering with a partner, you might want some help in getting into creative positions! Check out the Dual Locking Suction Handle and the Single Locking Foot Rest to get into some fun positions without slipping around! The Dual Shower Head will keep things hot and wet on both of you. Don't forget to have some silicone lube handy--it doesn't wash away in water! ID Millennium Lube is a good choice.
Larry's Response:
Dear Hot and Wet,
When it comes to wet sex, give me a shower stall over a bathtub any day! Not only are they much easier to clean, which is good because I'm wretched when it comes to scrubbing things or vacuuming them and the less said about dusting the better, but their small size makes me feel a bit nostalgic too. It's almost like being a college freshman all over again, trying to have sex on those twin beds in the dorm for the first time. Just like back then, the key to shower stall sex is to get creative. You and your partner are squeezed into a pretty tight space, so you might as well make the most of it. This is the perfect chance for one of you to show off your dominant side and take command of the situation. Tell your partner what you want - with the tight confines there's no room for weaseling around. Push him or her against the wall with a searing kiss before dropping to your knees for some tongue action before taking things from there. Just be sure there's a non-slip mat in the stall - the last thing you want is to start slipping and sliding at the wrong moment!
Dear Laura and Larry,
I have a latex allergy. I've managed to find nonlatex condoms, but I want to get some toys (dildos and vibrators), and I'm not sure what has latex in it. What should I look for and what should I avoid? --Toying Around
Laura's Response,
Dear Toying Around,
You are wise to be careful of your toy materials. As you may know, latex allergies never get better, they only get worse with repeated exposure, so eliminating latex, while difficult, is a life-saving measure. Finding the right sex toys for you means looking for certain materials and avoiding others. For instance, the common "jelly" rubber sex toys, although inexpensive, are made with some latex, so you should avoid those unless you put one of your nonlatex condoms on it. Anything made of plain rubber should be avoided as well. Sadly, that eliminates a lot of toys for you. However, there is good news! You can enjoy any toys made from silicone (but not a silicone/rubber mix), glass, metal, vinyl, or hard plastic! In terms of dildos, check out the A&E Kayden's Frosted Ice Silicone Cock or the Super 7 Platinum Pure Silicone Dildo. For silicone toys, make sure you use a water-based lube only. Glass toys, like the Cyberglass Four-way G are also fine--and super luxurious, too! There are many vibrators available to tease your fun parts. The G-Gasm Delight is a classic, as is the very powerful A&E Magic Massager. You can also go small and discreet with the metallic Rocks Off 80mm Bullet. In a pinch, you can use a nonlatex condom on any sex toy to enjoy it without aggravating your allergy.
Larry's Response:
Dear Toying Around,
Take heart - you're not alone! There are a ton of people out there just like you, and adult toy companies have responded. In the past, you did have a pretty limited selection when it comes to sex toys - it was pretty much just glass, metal or plastic. All these toys were firm and rigid, so you were just out of luck if you wanted something soft or wanted to try a rabbit vibrator. But adult companies have recently started introducing a few toys made from jelly and rubber that are latex-free. These latex-free models are limited to the more expensive rabbit and G Spot vibrators, but more and more mid-range toys are now going latex free. If you see something you like, you can contact our Customer Service department to find out if it's latex free before ordering.
But if you'd just rather not risk it, you can try out silicone instead. Silicone is rapidly becoming the material of choice for sex toys for its hypoallergenic and non-porous properties, making it healthier and more durable than other materials. Silicone can be made soft and flexible for your comfort or firm for easy penetration, so it's a very flexible material for toy makers. Good hunting, and I hope you find something to make you happy!
