Hillsborough, N.C. Local direct mail and e-tailer business PHE, Inc. is pleased to announce it has raised over $18,000 this year to support cancer research through Relay for Life, a 22% increase over PHE’s contribution last year.
Company employees took the initiative with a variety of projects to raise money for cancer research throughout the year. Employees prepared and organized benefit lunches, held raffles for sports events and free days off, collected second hand items from other employees for the Relay for Life flea market, and held a very successful auction in which employees bid on members of the upper management for two hours of their time.
Phil Harvey, PHE president and himself a substantial supporter of international charities, was especially pleased at this record fund raiser. "Our employees really get a kick out of raising funds for important causes," he noted. ”And it's something we can all do together, strengthening our sense of family here. I think it's great."
Every year, PHE, Inc. focuses on raising money for local charities and has been a major fundraiser for Relay for Life for over six years. PHE also contributes to other charities such as the Muscular Dystrophy Association. With a workforce of over 350 compassionate employees, PHE consistently strives to contribute to the success of local charities such as Relay for Life.
