These worked as designed although getting them to work under the door was a little more troublesome. If your wife is short they might not be long enough, my wife at 5'3" had her arms almost straight up.

liked the product. the only thing is if you are a little big girl dont try what the girl on the box does the link will not hold. other then that it is a great product and would and will subjust it to all my friends will show them all how it works and what they are good for!!
