Medical researchers have come up with a new and improved breast implant designed to prevent sagging!
The new implant, called B-Lite, weighs about 30% less than other implant currently available. Most implants contain either a silicone gel or silicone water solution. B-Lites, however, are filled with thousands of tiny silicone balls. Breast lovers report that the new design should also feel more realistic.
Most breast implants weigh about a pound. Over 10-15 years, that dead weight pulling on a woman's chest is enough to produce noticeable sagging – requiring another surgery and replacement implants to correct. The lighter-weight implants will reduce the sagging effect and cut back on the need for future surgeries as well, according to researchers.
The B-Lite implants are currently available in Israel and will start being used in Britain later this year. It's unknown when they'll make their way to America.
