Happy Flag Day America

Adam & Eve Salutes The Flag
Adam & Eve decided to celebrate June 14th Flag Day with a special tribute to the first flag of the United States! The first flag is popularly known as the "Betsy Ross Flag" after its creator. It contains 13 stars and 13 stripes in honor of the original colonies, including Adam & Eve’s home state of North Carolina. The circle of stars emphasizes the equality and bonds shared between the colonies as well as the lofty aspirations of the young nation. The alternating stripes come from earlier, popular flags, including one used by the Sons of Liberty. And the colors are actually "borrowed" from Great Britain’s flag, the Union Jack. Red stands for courage and hardiness. White represents purity and innocence. And blue signifies perseverance and justice.
