FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Hillsborough, NC — Local direct mail business PHE, Inc. is pleased to announce it has raised over $1000 for the N.C. Chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).
In its 4th annual fundraising campaign with the MDA, PHE, Inc. joined Classic Foods to kick off this year’s fundraising with a benefit lunch at PHE on June 14th.
Classic Foods donated all of the hot dogs, burgers, and drinks that were sold so that all proceeds went directly to the Muscular Dystrophy Association of North Carolina. This year the lunch raised $646.00 to donate to this worthy cause. But PHE didn’t stop there!
The Muscular Dystrophy Association lockup event was held on June 27th at The Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill.
Every year participants in the lockup agree to be ‘prisoners’ and raise money by getting their friends and coworkers to ‘bail’ them out. Tom Underwood and Katy Zvolerin of PHE went under lock and key this year to help raise even more money for the MDA. Total proceeds from this year’s lockup and PHE’s lunch were $1372.00!
With this important contribution, the Muscular Dystrophy Association of NC will assist families with the medical expenses associated with this disease such as lab work, physical therapy, leg braces, and research. Thanks to PHE and Classic Foods, families experiencing hardship from this disease will get some much needed help!
