Hillsborough, NC — Never one to shy away from asking the hard questions, Adam & Eve (http://adamandeve.com/news), America’s most trusted source for adult products, is pleased to reveal the latest findings on adults’ masturbation habits from its “Great American Sex Survey.”
This month’s results reveal that 86% of American adults admit they participate in self-gratification, with most (20%) engaging in the act 1-2 times per week. The next highest group of respondents (18%) said they masturbate 1-3 times per month, while an additional 18% said they masturbate 5-6 times a week, on a daily basis or more than once a day.
A surprising 17% of the respondents reported they rarely self-satisfy, and 14% of the total number surveyed said they never participate in the act of masturbation.
“Masturbation is a healthy sexual outlet,“ says sex and relationship expert Dr. Kat Van Kirk. “Research shows it can help individuals cope with stress, improve the immune system and it enhances partnered sex. Masturbation is a great form of preventative medicine.”
