Hillsborough, NC — Adam & Eve (http://www.AdamandEve.com/news), America’s most trusted source for adult products, is pleased to announce its first annual 5K run/walk was held on Tuesday, October 26, 2010, with great success.
“We had 79 participants… a great number considering we employ around 350 people… and I’m happy to say that everyone completed the race,” says Rich Kurnik, Systems Manager for AdamandEve.com and member of the Adam & Eve Wellness Committee.
Representatives from the Hillsborough Police, Hillsborough EMS and local State Farm Insurance branch were all on hand to show their support. Winners received cash prizes and participants were eligible to win gym memberships, time with a personal trainer, iPods and more.
“Adam and Eve has long been known as a great place to work in the Hillsborough area, and this is a wonderful way to encourage our own employees to stay healthy and have fun,” says Adam & Eve employee Regan Bigelow, who helped organize the event. “We plan to get even more employees involved and make this a recurring event in the Fall and Spring.”
Participant Veronica Rush agrees. “The 5K was a great company morale booster. All departments participated… and we cheered each other on for the same goal.”
