PHE, INC. HELPS CONTROL THE PET POPULATION WITH ANIMALKIND!

Hillsborough, NC - PHE, Inc, the parent company for Adam & Eve, has long been known for its charitable giving of money and time in the community. The company has regular fundraisers with its employees for various causes including Relay for Life and MDA. One of its most recent employee fundraisers was a silent auction, where employees donated goods and services to be bid on by other employees. The proceeds from that event were given to AnimalKind, a North Carolina-based organization that provides low-cost spaying and neutering of pets.

“Animals are an important part of many of our employees’ lives,” says Chad Davis, Director of Marketing for Adam & Eve. “It’s nice for us to be able to directly affect our pet-loving community, and know that we are helping to control the pet population in our own backyard.”

AnimalKind, based in Raleigh, NC, markets its “$20 Fix,” a spay or neuter procedure that only costs 20 dollars. More than 4800 animals have already had “the fix,” with hundreds more approved for surgery. Donations make these possible. Each year, 20,000 sheltered animals die in the Triangle of NC as a result of over-population. AnimalKind helps lower that number.

The silent auction fundraiser event raised over $1222, enough to provide many low-cost spaying/neutering procedures to lower income animal lovers. “Every little bit raised makes a difference,” says Davis. “We strive to make a difference, and hope to continue our work with AnimalKind in the future.”
