Hillsborough, NC — The Thanksgiving holiday will get a little brighter this year for 30 families in Orange County. PHE, Inc., has again joined forces with Orange County Social Services to provide traditional Thanksgiving meals with all the trimmings for local families in need.
“Once again, PHE is a good community citizen to those less fortunate in Orange County, “ says Bonnie Ferrell, a Parenting Social Worker with Orange County Social Services. This year marks the 14th time PHE has participated in a Thanksgiving food drive in Orange County.
“This is one of my favorite things that we do every year,” says Gina Phelps, a PHE employee who helps put the dinners together. “I love knowing that we are helping our fellow neighbors have a wonderful meal. I think it’s important to reach out to others in the community and lend a hand where it’s needed… especially around the holidays. “
