Because the life you get from these batteries seems to be almost twice as long to what those off brand batteries that came with it was to be. Not to mention the vibrating power is also much stronger…

batteries go in the dial end, the top half twists off, not the dial. The batteries are hard to find, size N, finally found them at office depot! This has become my fav toy. I love it and use it often.
