Pirates....aarrgghh!
I would highly recommend this movie. Nice to see a movie with a plot and good acting. My wife and I have not made it through the whole movie yet, because I keep getting attacked...not such a bad thing!

One of the better movies I've seen...
This movie was pretty good. It's definitely better than some of the other movies I have seen. It has a bit of humor. There were some slow parts, but overall I would recommend it :-)

Actually a winner

It is really good. Good costumes, good clear photography, most of the acting is good some a little iffy, all of the actors are good looking even the background people and story is good. only down side is some of the computer generated ship stuff but it is good enough for the story. I really enjoyed it so far.

Great Couples Flick!
Finally a hot movie with a funny plot for the ladies! It only needs some foreplay to bump it up to 5 stars. Good mix of scenes, nothing too kinky except a new use for taper candles...

Entertaining Film
This is a very well done film with some surprisingly good acting and well written humorous dialogue. The sex scenes are good without so much of the outrageous screeching and dirty talk that plaques many films. Two of the girl-girl scenes were ruined for us by the violent acts and behavior by the actresses.

Entertaining and couple friendly
This movie was certainly entertaining for an adult film. No doubt the contumes and effects were a pleasant addition. However, we watch adult films for the sex. All in all, the sex scenes were sharp providing plenty of stimulation which my wife enjoyed. Yet, the scenes were too heavily edited leaving no natural flow although perhaps there is no natural flow when pirates fornicate. It seems there should have been an anal scene as well, but there was none. Overall, it is a fine production, but I am not sure it is worth its high price.

Absolutely awesome
By far the best adult video I've ever seen! Great story line, awesome sex scenes, all very well done. The kinda cheesy CG animation of the ships was the only bad thing about this movie. I would recommend this movie to anyone.

Must Have
This is the absolute best "movie" I have ever purchased. The cinematography is phenomenal. You absolutely have to have it. The actors look great and they are truly in character. The sex is a given, but the scenes are realistic and solid.

Best Adult Movie I've seen
Nice to see an adult movie with some thought put into it, albeit, no one will be winning any oscars here! Sometimes there is a bit too much time between scenes, but the scenes are great. A great couples movie or a good movie for a pron virgin. Pirates 2 is almost as good as well!

I have never bought an adult movie before, and was a little hesitant, but this movie is really entertaining. Acting and storyline are actually pretty good for an adult movie. Sex scenes are great, although I could live without all the spitting and a little bit more romance in girl/girl scenes. I am definitely looking forward to purchasing the sequel.

The most "movie Like"
I really enjoyed this film. It had a storyline,although it was somewhat shallow at times. It could have been about 1/2 hr shorter. You can tell that they spent more money on this film. I think that it is a movie that women would like, due to the story line. My husband liked it, but thought there was too much storyline.

The woman are beautiful and sexy, the dialog is witty, and the charecters are all around amazing. The scenes are the perfect length and at times I actually for got I was watching a xxx rated film. The story line is better than some non x-rated features. Also my boyfriend was shocked and aroused to see that a woman actually was turned on by the sex scenes. It is deffinatly an all time favorite of mine, and I would reccomend it to anyone.

Bought this movie from a recommendation from the store clerk, but found it to be blah at best. Bad camera, bad lighting, bad acting, bad special effects. Adult movies should stay what they have been and not try to match Hollywood in my opinion.

Pretty Good Movie
My wife and I watched this movie the other night. We found that the movie went kind of slow. It took quite some time before you seen any sex going on. The movie does have a plot. We only made it thur the first DVD. There are still 2 more DVD to watch. This movie is great for couples. The acting is pretty good for a porn movie. I would recommend this movie but try to buy it when Adam & Eve offers you a discount.

Fantastic!!!
This is a FILM, with sex as an added bonus. After watching this, I (honestly) threw most of my other porn away. The quality is just superb. My only minor feedback is the use of current Puerto Rican slang for the Spaniards. I'm sure they didn't say "Papi" in those days. LOL!!

Best XXX Movies we have ever watched
I got this movie for the wife and I to watch. She loved it. We both agree it is a great movie, It has a plot, it has some cool special effects, and great sex sceens. You can tell a lot of time and energy was put in to this movie. We let some friends borrow it and some how they broke the disc. We loved the movis so much we ordered it again. We are waiting for the price to Pirates II to come down a little and we are going to order it.

GREAT MOVIE!!!
My boyfriend and I ordered this movie and we LOVED it! The sex is great and movie is actually really good. The plot line was just different enough from the POTC franchise for it to be really interesting and exciting. The dialogue feels strained at times (mostly from Carmen and Jesse), but it evens out in the end because the men and Janine are so great. Definitely a great movie for couples-nothing is too far to make one or the other feel really uncomfortable, just enough to keep everything interesting!

Loved It!!!
This was my first real full length feature pornographic film to watch and I absolutely loved it. The characters were great (acting was okay, Evan Stone is hilarious), the story was decent, the visual effects were awesome...I can't say enough. Excellent Fantasy Adventure!!!!
This is by far the best trilogy of any movies I have ever seen! This is exactly what fantasy adult movies should be!! It contains all of the necessary elements: awesome costumes, great scripts, excellent graphics, and of course smoking HOT sex scenes!!!!

The copy I have sucks, won't even play
I had this for a while now, tonight I had my first chance to watch, not one of the three videos would play. What a lousy 50.00 out of my 300.00 that I ordered on this p.o. THIS DVD ROCKS!
I loved this film!!! The storyline was humorous, and while we all know that adult films are not well known for the excellent acting, the men in the film did a good job. I actually found myself laughing at the acting of the women in the film. For some reason, it was just a hoot to watch. This movie was great for the both of us. the girlfriend and i were both into the movie. its about time we have a good mix of action and sex, and storyline.. the movie told a story and the story gave reason for the good sex seens and action, a good mix. never seem to be over the top on the sex seens, just great sex seens. all the efects were good, the sets were all good, never looked like some cheezy warehouse sets, money was spent in all the right places. cant wait for more movies like this

My fiance and I bought this for a fun night in and boy was it fun! This movie is awesome. VERY attractive people (I wouldn't really call them actors, haha) and a great plot that has subtle humor. The only thing we didn't like was one of the girls is an absolute spaz! We skipped through all her scenes because she's flippin around like a fish out of water, which is unfortunate because she's really hot but she needs to calm down!!!

Great production
This movie is very well done. Evan Stone is a great actor and is funny as well. The women are all great looking. The costumes are great as are the sets. The plot is pretty good as far as porn goes, but is a bit drawn out at times with about 20 min in between sex scenes. It's couple friendly. My husband liked it but found it a long wait in between the sex scenes as did I. However, I had to return the movie as my dvd player made a loud buzzing sound and vibrated when I played it. I found out that the problem was mostly likely caused by the disk being imbalanced. It almost got stuck in my player, but luckily I was able to get it out. I have a Sanyo player and when I called the company about the problem they said their players are known for being "fussy" if a disk is imperfect in any way. However, I bought another dvd player and it did the same thing. How unfortunate as this is a worth while movie...

I bought "Pirates" after my boyfriend brought over a cheep porn DVD one night that I just watched in horror! (The girls looked like they were in pain and the guys would just show up out of nowhere and get naked?) A fun romp.
I adore pirates, so this seemed like it would be the movie for me. While it didn't live up to my hopes and dreams for it, my boyfriend and I had plenty of laughs when watching this together. There are some good scenes in this DVD, but they are overshadowed by long scenes dialogue and some sex scenes that were just painful to watch. My wife and I love girl on girl but this was stupid. Very Nice and Worth the Price!
Extremely well done movie! Yes, this is a movie and not a compilation of all the sex scenes from other movies. Nice to watch! Story has a plot and the special effect are even good. They spent some money making this. Definately a movie to add to your collection.

Pirates
I watched alone first and then with my girl. We both enjoyed it and thought it was well done. Personaly I am a fan of Carmen, however I think Jesse was even hotter. We both agree that Janine stole the show with her scene. About the only negatives we had was Fabios over acting. While we are sure he was doing that bad Captain Kirk immitation for laughs it got a little old after a short time. One thing none of us found erotic was the spitting on one another. The scene with Carmen and Jesse spitting on each other realy broke the mood. Our friends concured. Other than that we enjoyed the movie very much.

Funny & entertaining!!
I was pleasantly surprise I liked this movie. They did a great job with the plot, costumes, and getting some of the pirate lingo down. I loved the scene with all the pirates are standing in a circle watching 2 of the ladies go at it & they're making "pirate" comments! Had me cracking up!

sexy and fun
This is the best adult movie my husband and I have seen so far. It is silly and sexy, cheesy and yummy, all at the same time. The acting isn't that great, but then, who are we kidding anyway? I highly recommend it. It's not the run of the mill, glaring, bad lighting and slapping. The actors are all beautiful and the scenes are creative. It's a good video for women because there's actually a story line.

Very impressive
This is a terrific movie! My wife's biggest complaint with most movies is their extreme lack of backstory. Women apparently like that sort of thing. Who knew!? Kidding aside, the scenes were hot, the women were gorgeous, the story was enough to keep you interested in the rest of the movie and create a flow between scenes. If another movie of this nature is ever made, I will definitely buy it.

Amazing!!!
This movie is great it was my first video purchase and I'm so glad that me and my boyfriend picked this one! We both had no problem with the lighting. They are on a ship there isn't any overhead lights its all by candlelight and personally that makes it more amazing. The sex scenes were amazing and got us both in the mood for some amazing sex!!!

Great scenes but bad lighting
My husband and I have watched numerous porn movies; from just sex to a movie with some sex. This movie had some great sex scenes, but the lighting was so poor that you could not actually see the action. Most of the scenes went from a dialoge to the middle of a sex act. I enjoy watching the actual penetration, not just the act. The best scenes for both my husband and I were the HOT girl on girl scenes. That made up for the other flaws.

Good for couples and for fun!
My friends and I heard about this movie and decided we would buy it and pass it around. Great movie, nice effects (doesn't feel like a cheesy posrn where you can see the microphone and hear the off stage people talking) and an actual plot. Some humurous moments and the sex scenes are really good. My husband and I loved watching it and we were certainly in the mood after;) Great movie for first-timers or people who want to watch a hollywood movie that happens to have hardcore sex scenes!

too slow, not great
My husband bought this for us and we were looking forward to watching it, he actually fell asleep during the movie. It moves really slow and the plot was cheesey. But on the other hand I have seen worse. The set was really detailed and the cast was really hot both guys and girls.

What garbage!
Okay, I know you are saying "but it won 11 AVN awards!" ya, and Bassinger won an Academy Award. What's your point? This movie could not have been more disappointing (except for the hot chicks in it). The pirates growling and "arghing" during have the sex scenes was a complete turn-off for my and I! And the good guy captain--sounded just like the putz space captain from Futurama. I know these movies are tongue-in-cheek. This one was more "head-in-ass."

Not bad, but overhyped and overrated.
Since my girlfriend and I bought this movie based on the positive recommendations by viewers on this site, I feel I should contribute my own observations. Basically, the feeling I got from this movie was that it tries too hard, although admirably so. I can respect the fact that the producers of this feature want to present viewers with something out of the ordinary, beyond your average skin flick. On that count, they definitely deliver. The question is, though, what do you want in a porn movie? If you want good costumes, good sets, a halfway decent plot, bad acting, even worse dialogue, and really cheesy digital effects, then this is the movie for you. If you want really hot sex that will turn you on, without a bunch of other things that could turn you off, then you might want to look elsewhere. Both my g/f and I found all the "big budget" stuff of this film interfered with the primary intent of any adult material: namely, to turn us on. It's hard to feel turned on when we're laughing at how bad the acting is, or how silly the dialogue is, or how ironic it is that pirates - not the first image one associates with safety - use condoms. And maybe it's just me, but I don't find pirates to be all that sexy anyway, so the theme was lost on me from the get-go. (I suppose I should feel grateful that these pirates are all well groomed "down there." I really don't want period authenticity in that area.) The sex itself was good, but I personally felt it was a bit technical, like the performers were doing a job, rather than really being into what they were doing. I'm not saying this movie isn't worth a look; it definitely is. But I do feel it isn't worth all the praise and hype it has been receiving, especially given the price. There are many other videos out there that do the job with less fanfare and a lower price tag.

Great Movie
I was pleasantly surprised by this movie, and can understand why they made an "R" rated one as well. This movie has a plot... the acting is not fabulous however; it is funny and worth watching. My partner and I loved this movie and sometimes forgot that it was actually a porn. This is the best adult movie I have seen to date.

I'd walk the plank for these girls any day!
Just looking at the awards that this movie got gives you a hint at the quality of it. From the special effects to the sex... OVERALL GREAT! A Must Have and will become one of those movies that you will never let your friends borrow.

Funny
I am not a fan of porn, not in the least. I went to a sex shop with my fiance and the man at the counter suggested Pirates. "You are going to make me watch this with you aren't you?" I asked in an obviously sad tone. The cashier told me that even if you don't like porn, you will like this. He told me if I ignore the sex scenes and just watch it like a regular movie, I would find it hilarious and really like it. He was right. So, for all you men who want your woman to watch porn with you, but she's not really into it, tell her how funny this is and I promise if you can get her to sit and watch ten minutes of it she will be hooked and your fantasy fufilled.

Awesome DVD
I was completely blown away by this movie. My boyfriend and I bought 7 other movies from here and this is by far the best. The sex scenes are amazing. The acting is tolerable and very amusing. It makes you laugh and keeps you entertained while waiting for the sex scenes.

Not all that...
My husband & I did NOT enjoy this movie! Too much acting (which sucked), not enough sex... there were many opportunites for great scenes which were wasted. If you want a great "Pirate" movie... buy "Conquest"... great sex/hot men & women!!

love, love, love it!!!
My fiance and I picked up this movie in store, and couldnt wait to get home and play it!! This is by far the best movie we have both seen! Weve watched it quite a few times with great results :)....But now were spoiled...cant find anything else that stacks up to this...lol!

Pirates is the BEST!
I bought this at a sex shop awhile back (would have bought it here if I'd known about this site at the time) for $60, so at $40 its a steal! This is the best porno ever made hands down. Evan Stone is my new hero after watching this flick. Buy this!!! PIRATES 2 is coming soon!!!! (in fall '07)

Great Movie
Overall, great movie, you don't have to wait long for the first scene, there is a little wait before you get the the second, but then from that point on it's great. Everyone is hot, the girl/girl scenes are incredible. Worth every penny, passed it around at work because some ppl wanted to check it out before buying and everyone's liked it. Enjoy :)

My honey was the one who saw this and brought it to my attention, I love pirates....So, when I saw it, I was so into watching it...When we got it i was so excited i weatched it alone that night..it was more than I ever hoped for!!!! Pirates overall was a good movie. I like watching movies with a plot. I think however, the actors could have tried to play the part just a little bit more. THe movie was just another good porno flick with some action in between. I expected better.

Great Movie!!
We didn't even get through the first sex scene when my husband whispered in my ear asking if he could board my ship and pirate my booty. Couldn't keep our hands off each other during the duration of the film! I suggest that couples watch this together (although I doubt you'll actually watch it)

Outstanding Erotic Cinema
PIRATES has it alll from swashbuclking to pole smoking. The quality of the film is first rate and really suprised me. The acting could have been a little better but hey its a porno, its not supposed to win any oscars. The girls are so hott, and the scenes are hotter.

With so many Gonzo movies out there, when you find a movie that has a good story line and good acting, you have hit the treasure! The sex is hot and the story line is interesting! Impressive
Probably the best feature length adult movie I've ever seen. I'm not much into the spitting thing, but other than that wow! Beautiful woman, descent dialoge, and it was actaully the first porn I felt I didn't get ripped off buying. Jesse Jane is probably my new favorite adult actress.

Great. It delivers a big story as promised
Just when I decided to look for a different source for movies because they all seemed to have the same actors and the same "no plot" stories, I saw the reviews of Pirates. I decided to take a chance and was very surprised at the overall quality of this DVD. It was a good movie with a real plot that you can follow. The sex scenes are very good of course because the people are all pros. This is a DVD I highly recommend. If you have a partner you are just introducing to porn movies, this is a great one because it has a plot but they don't make you wait too long between the hot scenes.

It's a well acted,well told story, with some very impressive visual effects ofr an adult film. I bought this for my wife and I to watch and we absolutly loved it. The cheezy humor and story line is surprisingly entertaining. But of course there is plenty of sex to focus on as well. Greatest Sex Arousal Ever!!!
Me & My husband Love Porn and anything to make out marriage more spicy. He LOVED thid movie. Sex after Sex scene sometimes can kind of get pretty mundane, but this was not like any other porno, We Both Loved It! We are both Carmen Luvana fans and are now more of an Evan Stone Fan! Best I've seen
This DVD is by far the best my husband and I have seen. I am pickier than he when it comes to these kind of films -- can't imagine why! There was a story line, there was development of the characters and there was a lot of action. It was entertaining both comically and sexually. It's become our favorite.

Good for humor & plot
I enjoyed the plot, the not ridiculously fake acting and the humor element to it- however, the sex scenes are extremely short and few and far between. As soon as I started getting turned on, it was over. Rather frustrating...lol.

This DVD set was fantastic. The movie was one of the best Adult DVDs that we've seen. The HD version was the ultimate!

HAWT, but at times a bit boring.
I realize that they were trying to feature this as a real movie as well as a great porn video, but sometimes it did seem lacking in the sex department. The first time watching it was entertaining, but after a couple times I just find myself cutting to the good parts right away.

Great "film".
This was a film. Not just scene after scene of sex, but the sex was amazing. The girl/girl scene with Janine and Jesse was one of the best ever. But keep in mind, this is a film. With a plot and a story line that puts space in between the sex scenes. Very entertaining.

Amazing Effects and great storyline!!!
Having a plot and storyline was great for my girlfriend to follow along and get into it, We actually had rented the R rated version with everything cut out, which doesn't compare to the full version. She said she'd watch it again, so I ordered the full version and we're glad I did.

steamy and well shot
I've never been a great fan of porn videos because I've seen some real crap. Pirates shot all of my preconceptions about porn. Well shot, a story line, and very hot. Great quality! Great looking actors and creative scenes. No regrets.
